I didn't have high expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. The special of the day was chicken fried chicken, always a favorite. Jim's version wasn't bad. Nicely cooked, if a little gristly. The potatoes were decent, but the gravy was the winner. It had a subtle chicken flavor to it, almost like they used chicken seasoning instead of salt. That set it apart. The building looks like it started as a drive-in restaurant of some sort, but it's been remodeled nicely. Now it has a cute down-home feel to it. The two women who were working were friendly. There was a salad bar, but it wasn't part of the special so we didn't try it. It looked decent though, if small. In all, we'll go back next time we're in the area.

Excellent country fried steak, chicken fried steak, and chicken fried chicken. The price is excellent as well. Parking is easy. Place is clean, restroom is quite clean. The seats are comfortable, and the feeling of the restaurant is good. What is the most important thing is the food - and the restaurant delivers very well. Staff is friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for good fried chicken, chicken fry...all the sides to go with it, try Jim's. Finish it off with a homemade slice of pie in 3-5 varieties. The staff was very attentive and appreciated our business.

Pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Fiest time here and got the fried chicken, hot and tasty. Livers and gizzards were properly done, not over cooked to death like most places. Even the single serving slices of carrot cake was moist and tasted great. The woman at the counter was very pleasant and came by regularly checking on guests and supplying refills. Great lunch spot.

Service was fast. Chicken was crispy and hot. Could’ve given me more ketchup. Looks like they had a lot of other things on the menu that look good chicken fried steak. Chicken noodle soup.
